Social Media Involvement, How Much Is Enough?
There are so many sites out there, what level of social media involvement is enough?
With social sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Twitter, where do you start? And once you start, how many do you need to be on? What is the level of social media involvement that is required to be successful?
This is a common question from businesses that are just starting to delve into social media. It can be overwhelming if you bite off more than you can chew.
It is better to be on two or three sites and do well on these, than try to be everywhere and be less effective at them all.
Part of the equation is you. You have to find what form of communication works best for you.
The most important thing is getting in there and trying. There will be mistakes as you learn and that is expected. Take it as a learning experience and grow from it. Once you know what your audience likes and does not like, you can fine tune your social media posts.
Even some of the largest corporations make mistakes. Next time you make a mistake, just thank your lucky stars they were not as bad as some of These.
Take a look at your style of communication. What are you good at?
Is writing informative articles something you enjoy doing? Are you good at conveying information through bullet points supported by eye catching graphics? Can you commit to frequent updates several times a day? Do you love shooting and editing videos? And, which of these is best for marketing your products or services.
Find the way you communicate best, and the site that works best with it, and get your hands dirty. Even one site with a large happy audience is much better than many sites with a smaller and unhappy one.
You will find your social media involvement much easier if you are enjoying what you are doing.
